Outreach Teams Ministry

Beginning in February we welcomed another YWAM DTS team from Louisville KY to partner with us in evangelism, English teaching, and most importantly in sharing the good news of Christ with those who have never heard. It was a very busy month filled with so many testimonies of God as we went out into the city to meet physical and spiritual needs. We partnered with five primary schools and cleaned three neighborhoods and a kid's playground. As well as, put on three Christian concerts at local markets. We shared the gospel with hundreds of people through all these events. During the team's time here we had 3 people give their lives to Christ and many more reach out for discussion after hearing the Gospel.

Hosting YWAM Louisville was the 2nd DTS team we hosted, so we have been learning a lot about what it takes to host these teams well while being effective in maintaining the quality of our ministry. It truly is our joy to daily see how the Lord is working and speaking to the Thais as we get to love them in acts of service.  Nicole and I are passionate about continuing to host many more teams in the future and are expectant for God to keep moving! Here are some picture highlights from this last month with the team.

This picture is of a group of students praying over a young man who went to the Mosk in the city looking for answers and instead found a group of Christians on a prayer walk. He was very interested in the Gospel and was given the information of a local church to get connected with.

OTM Schedule

Nicole and I are on the leadership team of the OTM ministry and it is the main ministry that fills our schedule. We often get asked what a typical day looks like so here is a brief example of some of the ministry we did during the last month. Every time we host a team the schedule varies in ministry opportunities, but I hope this is helpful to see what our daily ministry week looks like during OTM!

Nicole and I have different responsibilities when it comes to hosting OTM teams which keeps us both very busy.

  • Nicole:

    • Responsible for all communication before arrival

    • Logistics Coordinator

    • Missions teaching

    • Hospitality

  • Connor:

    • Team coordinator

    • Team translator (beginner level)

    • Transportation

    • Main MC for schools and ministry events.

    • Orientation

We both love the fullness of this ministry and we can see how it brings God more worship. Please pray that God will continue to give us the energy and passion to do this ministry to the best of our abilities. God is working in this nation and we get to be his hands and feet. Thank you to all of you who partner with us in reaching this nation for Jesus.

Family

Right after the Louisville team left we got the honor of welcoming my in-laws who came to visit us for two weeks. It was the sweetest reunion!!  God knew the timing as both Nicole and I got sick while they were here. While we were down bad in bed Grandma and Grandpa loved all the quality time with Elouise! They were able to bless us so much by just getting to do life with them for a short time. Our hearts were filled with so much joy seeing little Lou playing with her grandma and grandpa. We are so grateful that they came and spent time with us!

March

we are now in full swing preparing for two more outreach teams coming in April and May. We are so expectant for how the Lord will lead these coming months as we host around thirty staff and students. The two teams coming are from YWAM Montana and a more Local team from YWAM Bangkok.

New ways to stay connected

Nicole and I have been moved by God to steward our relationships back home better. We are now going to dedicate every other Friday morning (Thursday night in the USA) to calling you guys and staying connected. We will be reaching out to schedule video calls with whoever is available during these times. We are also going to be creating a WhatsApp group chat that you are all going to be invited to where you can join in and see what we are up to on a day-to-day basis. If you are interested in the video call or the group chat please let us know by responding to this email or reaching out via social media.

Prayer Requests and Final Thoughts

Nicole and I have a prayer request about our finances. We are in current need of more monthly support to reach our budget. This last year has come with lots of changes and we’ve relied on the Lord to be our rock as we’ve adjusted to a new normal. We are going to be starting a fundraising campaign in the next few weeks so be on the lookout for that.

Thank you all so much for all that you do for us. We continuously pray for each one of you so if you have any prayer requests of your own always let us know. We love and miss you all.

Here are a few more prayer requests.

  • Pray for all of Thailand to come to know God

  • Pray that our marriage continues to give God Glory

  • Pray for Elouise to remain healthy

  • Pray for our upcoming OTM teams that God will work and bless all ministry we do.

  • Pray that God continues to open doors for the Gospel in our city.

Philippians 1:27

Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel.
